About Me

From growing up on the shoreline where I taught myself to quietly observe the local biodiversity

I have more recently been described as having a “deeply relational gift of listening to and learning from a living sensate world”

“I myself am only a child playing on the beach, whilst vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me”

An Introduction Into My World

For the first 25 years of my working life I was a professional horticulturist. For the latter half of this time I built
Green Earth Landscaping from nothing into one of the top 3 UK contractors specialising in tree planting and sowing of grass & wild flower meadows on motorways & industrial reclamation sites.

After which I spent 3 years carrying out referendums of small business owners, so that the FPB had the research data with which to lobby government based on factual evidence

Since 2000

Whilst driving trucks for TNT/CEVA Logistics for 10 years I also represented 7000 UK employees to secure the best social conditions in a new European Works Council Agreement; which on my initiative was the first include Sustainability in it’s scope.

I volunteered over a 6 year period on a Local Action Group analysing applications from small businesses for their share of a £3.8m Leader Plus Small Business Grant & it’s unique Green Business Exemplars Scheme.

Education wise I can include dropping out of an MSc Sustainable Development at Exeter & then several years later becoming a certified Biomimicry Educator which led to teaching a workshop at Schumacher College for an MRes/PhD Sustainable Technologies cohort.
